Since 2001 Bartók Plus has become a major opera muster in the European Union and most specifically in Central Eastern Europe; the one and only opera festival in Hungary, and with its most comprehensive presentation of Bartók’s oeuvre, the world’s pre-eminent Bartók festival. This year the Festival invites opera lovers to join this Feast of the Opera with 7 opening night performances, 9 companies performing and 4 guest companies visiting from abroad.

Ötven országból 4500 rajongó volt kíváncsi az Epica együttes 10 éves szülinapi koncertjére, amelyen a kibővített miskolci Reményi Ede Kamarazenekar és a Miskolci Nemzeti Színház kórusa működött közre Regős Zsolt vezényletével. A március 23-ai Retrospect (Visszapillantás) című előadás lényegében a 2008-as miskolci klasszikus, operafesztiváli koncertnek az újrajátszása volt az eindhoveni Klokgebouw koncertteremben.
